Happy Thanksgiving!!!

Finally! Some time off to relax and most importantly get caught up with school! It's a very sad world I'm living in- but only four years and it's over. I'm not sure if I caught something the night before my flight but I've been pretty tired and sluggish- but I'm recharging as fast as I can.

To relax the nerves, a bunch of us decided to watch the movie Blind Side- which was amazing. Definitely a movie to put on the list for the break.

Yesterday waiting for my plane to LA, the couple next to me started chatting about a girl walking by. The wife first mentioned something about her thigh high boots and then her husband chimed in saying " And she has a snood- that's very fashionable right now.." Is it bad I didn't know what a snood was? Well here it is!

been gone. too long!

it has been a crazy month for me and is still going! i have had way too many tests and quizzes to even catch up with myself. i'm feeling wayyyyy behind. it's weird how my work ethic has increased but nothing has come out of it. i'm feeling a little down about life, school, the works. at least i have great classmates. it definitely makes a difference.

halloween is this saturday and wah wah..... i am not even going out. the school is hosting a halloween party on friday and i will be making a quick appearance. hopefully, winning best costume.. fingers crossed! we'll see how tomorrow goes with costume shopping.

i carved my first pumpkin with my friend maryann. we wanted to do something we've never seen before but make it funny. it was soo much fun.. here it is!
ill try to finish my costume and post pictures. have a happy halloween.

Back in the grind!

The last two weeks have been sooo stressful...we had two to three tests every week. I feel that if it was a regular class, it'd be okay, but since they give us so much information to learn, it's just hard to memorize and apply the information.

I had too good of a weekend- especially with my extra one day off- Happy Yom Kippur! It's gunna be hard to get back in the grind but tomorrow I will lock myself in the library. It been hard to even wake up early. Tomorrow will definitely be a coffee day.

The weather has been horrible here. Today it hailed :( It has been raining off and on throughout the day. But i did end up making some good purchases at Target. I looked ahead at the forecast and saw that it was going to be the same rainy weather so I got myself some rain boots!!!!

It's not as bright as the photo but it'll match all my scrubs :)

I also got some sweatshirts in the little boy section for 5 bucks.. yeaaaa. I think I'm gunna cut it somehow for a more comfy feel. My purchase that I couldn't bear to buy was a onesie.. haha. I brought it with me all the way to the register and then decided that my snugie was enough. Perhaps another day...

H is gone and no where to be found.

I had a great time this weekend spending time with him and just realizing how comforting it was to have him around. It's great to finally find someone to love with all my heart. I was a little hermit with him for my birthday, but I wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

But on a positive outlook, he will be back! Countdown T-minus 3 days!!!

Break time!

I love three day weekends.. especially when my birthday lands on a Sunday and I have Monday off!!! Yea :)

My bf visited me in Buffalo and we went to the Buffalo Wing Festival.

We also hit up the Cave of the Winds at Nigara Falls.

Studying..

I love studying at the library. Not only is it quiet.. but really pretty. Ill have to take pictures of the chandelier that hangs over the room. It also has a very calming feeling in there.

I am excited to see this post about sweat pants in fashion. Sounds comfy and stylish. Now, all I need is a blazer : )

Maybe scrubs will be in soon???

Blogging

I'm extremely embarrassed that I've spent so much time looking at blogs. I really want to improve my blog and that means I have to write more. So I am....




























I'm really into the idea of a chain necklace for your glasses. Very fun and interesting. Especially if made with a necklace you already have. So it is very functional and stylish.



I've been really thinking about classic basic pieces I should have but don't:
a pencil skirt ( because my last one ripped during an interview) and a white button up (perhaps with ruffles)... if I find you guys, it would be great. I would take care of you like you were my blood :)

The 1st week is over

The first week just flew by. They gave us a very minimized version of a "real" week of school but I feel as long as I keep up with everything I should be fine. I was pretty terrified that I would be the girl that fainted during Gross anatomy. But it was very professional and the faces were covered so we didn't see a thing. We started on the back so it didn't feel like it was even a real person to me.

First day of Dental School

Today was the first day of dental school. It was long but great. (That's what she said, right?) The day started with just introductions for the faculty and a tour. They definitely forgot to take off the complimentary breakfast note on our papers. I was starving by lunch time. I also got my own tackle box full of dental equipment. I'll have to load a pic in a bit.

We have a picnic later on today which I'm excited for... more FREE food.

Second Day in Buffalo

My first day in Buffalo seemed as though I stepped into a personal hell. I walked 6 miles and for two of those miles, pushed a shopping cart full of food back to my house. Definitely the first time I related to a homeless person- they are not lazy, it's just hard to push a damn cart full of shit. Really, I'm sore today- my legs and arms feels like Ive just been through boot camp. It hurts to extend my legs fully. I parked my shopping cart in my backyard.

My second day was much better. I was able to get some essentials from Walmart- geez! I love Walmart. It's been a year since I've been there- and didn't have to walk there. I got a ride with J and tomorrow we are going to the farmer's market.

Now it's August 1. School starts on the 5th. I'm excited.... are you? Happy anniversary baby.
