Long Overdue- isn't it always though

So I am officially 1/8 of the way done with dental school. Last semester was pretty dang hard compared to what I thought it was gunna be. I definitely had to stop beating myself up for not getting straight A's and accept that dental school is a lot harder than college. I'm getting much more used to my surroundings in Buffalo. The snow is not that bad. I mean it is cold, don't get me wrong, but I only see it in the morning and night. I'm inside most of the time and very toasty. I can't wait to wear real clothes instead of the same thing over and over. Everyday I wear the same jeans, leggings, same boots, and same parka. What a drag!

Even though school was really hard, had some good times from first semester.

Finally! Some time off to relax and most importantly get caught up with school! It's a very sad world I'm living in- but only four years and it's over. I'm not sure if I caught something the night before my flight but I've been pretty tired and sluggish- but I'm recharging as fast as I can.

To relax the nerves, a bunch of us decided to watch the movie Blind Side- which was amazing. Definitely a movie to put on the list for the break.

Yesterday waiting for my plane to LA, the couple next to me started chatting about a girl walking by. The wife first mentioned something about her thigh high boots and then her husband chimed in saying " And she has a snood- that's very fashionable right now.." Is it bad I didn't know what a snood was? Well here it is!

been gone. too long!

it has been a crazy month for me and is still going! i have had way too many tests and quizzes to even catch up with myself. i'm feeling wayyyyy behind. it's weird how my work ethic has increased but nothing has come out of it. i'm feeling a little down about life, school, the works. at least i have great classmates. it definitely makes a difference.

halloween is this saturday and wah wah..... i am not even going out. the school is hosting a halloween party on friday and i will be making a quick appearance. hopefully, winning best costume.. fingers crossed! we'll see how tomorrow goes with costume shopping.

i carved my first pumpkin with my friend maryann. we wanted to do something we've never seen before but make it funny. it was soo much fun.. here it is!

Back in the grind!

The last two weeks have been sooo stressful...we had two to three tests every week. I feel that if it was a regular class, it'd be okay, but since they give us so much information to learn, it's just hard to memorize and apply the information.

I had too good of a weekend- especially with my extra one day off- Happy Yom Kippur! It's gunna be hard to get back in the grind but tomorrow I will lock myself in the library. It been hard to even wake up early. Tomorrow will definitely be a coffee day.

The weather has been horrible here. Today it hailed :( It has been raining off and on throughout the day. But i did end up making some good purchases at Target. I looked ahead at the forecast and saw that it was going to be the same rainy weather so I got myself some rain boots!!!!

It's not as bright as the photo but it'll match all my scrubs :)

I also got some sweatshirts in the little boy section for 5 bucks.. yeaaaa. I think I'm gunna cut it somehow for a more comfy feel. My purchase that I couldn't bear to buy was a onesie.. haha. I brought it with me all the way to the register and then decided that my snugie was enough. Perhaps another day...

H is gone and no where to be found.

I had a great time this weekend spending time with him and just realizing how comforting it was to have him around. It's great to finally find someone to love with all my heart. I was a little hermit with him for my birthday, but I wouldn't have wanted it any other way.

But on a positive outlook, he will be back! Countdown T-minus 3 days!!!

I love three day weekends.. especially when my birthday lands on a Sunday and I have Monday off!!! Yea :)

My bf visited me in Buffalo and we went to the Buffalo Wing Festival.

We also hit up the Cave of the Winds at Nigara Falls.

Studying..

I love studying at the library. Not only is it quiet.. but really pretty. Ill have to take pictures of the chandelier that hangs over the room. It also has a very calming feeling in there.

I am excited to see this post about sweat pants in fashion. Sounds comfy and stylish. Now, all I need is a blazer : )

Maybe scrubs will be in soon???
